An Open Letter from FireLeague CEO Chris Finch - December 2, 2011

A bright future for FireLeague, our customers, and salary cap fantasy!

To all current and future members of the FireLeague community:

I am proud to announce one of the most significant developments in the evolution of FireLeague since our initial launch in 2009. Just a few days ago we finalized a deal with Fastpoint Games that provides FireLeague with unrestricted rights to develop, operate, and expand our fantasy game offerings. A fantasy format that that looked as though it might not live to see another season will continue to thrive at FireLeague.

What does this mean for you? First and foremost it means that the game you've come to know and love will continue to exist indefinitely. Secondly it means that FireLeague will assume complete control of all aspects of the game, and with that gain the flexibility to more effectively meet the needs and desires of our community. The most immediate impact will be the ability to expand our fantasy offerings by introducing fantasy baseball in 2012. Perhaps even more exciting is the prospect that over the longer term we will have the means to extend and enhance game features.

Two short years ago it would have been difficult to believe that we'd soon be the sole hosts of one of the premier fantasy sports platforms available on the web today. We truly believe in the fantasy salary cap format and we're committed to making it everything that it has the potential to be. Is the salary cap format the future of fantasy sports? Some in our industry would laugh at that notion. We're not laughing. As fantasy sports continues to gain credibility as a form of skill based competition, players will gravitate toward the format that requires the most skill. We don't need to tell you what format that is.

The future of the game, and our community, has never been so promising as it is today. We hope that you will continue to join us on this exciting journey. Thank you for your support. We never would have made it this far without you.

Sincerely wishing the best for you and yours,

Christopher J. Finch Jr.

You have been A+ in customer service, and believe me, after our experiences at TSN, that means A LOT! So you deserve this!

I was just wondering about other sports having a cap league like basketball. Also how about a playoff cap for football, just wondering if your going to have any of this in the near future?
